Responsibilities include: everything from the parking lot to the platform, daily oversight of the pastoral/directors team, church administrator, Adult Married Life (30's and 40"s),drama production and anything else Pastor Rick asks me to do. 

The Ballance Bunch: The woman everyone wonders "how I got her", is Mary Ann. By the way, I prayed a lot, and she hears God. She has given me two wonderful sons, Stephen (who is married to Jen) and Chad, and a beautiful daughter, Ashley. We are the grandparents of two boys and more to come. 

Life's Ambition: To make a difference by loving people with God's love and celebrating this privilege and opportunity. I like to have fun!!!!!!!!!

Things I Am Good At: I'm a Renaissance Man...(or so I've been told), landscaping, transforming rooms from ok to great, the arts, teaching, developing people and being an ACC basketball fanatic.

Best Childhood Memory: Spring and Summer Sunday afternoon's when the family was loaded up in the boat and off to the "sand islands" for swimming, skiing, tubing, fishing, and great picnic food. I grew up on the Outer Banks.  

I'm Thankful For: a grandmother, mother and father who taught me to serve others out of love compassion, and a desire to serve. Role models do make a difference!  

My perfect spot: A beautiful sandy beach, with gentle caressing waves rolling on shore. The smell of salt air floating on a warm summer breeze and plenty of time to soak in the peace and rest of an early morning seaside walk.
