drieder [at] faconcord [dot] orgPrinciple responsibilities include financial issues for First Assembly Ministries (including church, day care, school and living center)
Married since 1968 to Jayne, my soul mate. Three children - David, Josh and Morgan - all married. Two grandchildren, Callie Ryan & Malachi James
Graduated with degree in Accounting from Florida State University in 1970 - GO NOLES! None of my kids wanted to go back to Florida to go to school. We have three UNCC grads in the family as well as 2 more on the way. Jayne went back to school after a 20-year sabbatical and was the first UNCC grad. Boy, are my pockets empty!
Path to First Assembly: In 1989, while employed as a Senior Vice President of Florida National Bank, the bank was acquired by First Union Corp. My options were to take a position with First Union in Charlotte or to look for employment elsewhere. After much prayer and family meetings, the decision was made to move to Charlotte. Believe it nor not, both teenage boys wanted to move, but their 6-year old sister did not. After visiting First Assembly once, we knew this was our church home and decided to build a home in Cabarrus County so that we could be close to where most of our activities would take place. Incidentally, our daughter over the next few months also felt like this was home because of a wonderful Missionette leader. After being a First Assembly member for four years, I came on staff August, 1993.
Favorite highlights of my vacations: 1. withdrew shekels from an ATM in Old Jerusalem using my First Union debit card and communion at the Garden Tomb with Tim Childers singing 2. eating lobster and blueberry pie in Maine
Passion: numbers
Favorite way to waste time: Computer Solitaire (Vegas rules)
